2020 14th Annual Banquet Postponed
After due consideration by the Board of Operation HOPE, the 2020 Annual Banquet has been postponed. Our current national and global pandemic concerns must take priority, and we will announce the rescheduled event as soon as it is known. We project it will be during the upcoming summer. Please feel free to continue purchasing tickets in the interim. We will issue additional bulletins as prudent. Thank you for your continued support of Operation HOPE.
Although I haven't had a great deal of contact with Jarred Minefee since he headed to Haiti 12 days ago, he was able to post a handful of fantastic images online that I would love to share with you. My original intention was to wait until I was able to get more of a story about each of these images, but I realize that many of these are too powerful to be left alone until then. Within the first couple of days, Jarred had the opportunity to be involved in a crusade in Montrouis as well as a beautiful baptism service the next morning.
Operation HOPE holds an annual F.A.M.I.N.E. banquet and silent auction to raise money to send food and supplies to poverty stricken countries. This year’s banquet raised money for the orphaned children living in extreme poverty in Haiti.
A few days ago, Barb Bouma, a friend of ours who has done alot to help the efforts of Operation HOPE sent an email to all of her friends letting them know just what they can do to help those in need in Haiti. Barb stays in touch with the Reeves family of New Vision Ministries and was able to get a very comprehensive list of the things they need to continue to operate as they have. Below is a copy of her email, and I pray that each person who reads this will be able to help out in some way.
The following article was posted on the blog of Dr. Kerry Reeves & New Vision Ministries in Haiti. New Vision is a close partner of Operation HOPE and they are the ministry that we assist when traveling to Haiti.
