Update from Iraq
Although Dr. Thomas has been incredibly busy over the past few days in the nation of Iraq, he was able to send me a short email which I would love to share with everyone:
"Our trip so far has been very sucessful. We have performed about 20 surgeries and lot of patients are being seen. We are supposed to met President Barzani on Saturday. All is well!"
Considering the busy time that Dr. Thomas, the KAMC team, and the rest of the doctors have had in Iraq, I was thrilled to have gotten an update.
I would also like to remind everyone to head on over to KAMC's continuing coverage of the trip to Iraq by clicking here where you can read Stephanie Berzinski's blog as well as view a handful of video blogs and Skype interviews from the team. We've been following all of Stephanie's coverage of the trip and it's so exciting to see the impact that Operation HOPE and the rest of the medical team have had on the nation of Iraq. Not only has Dr. Thomas been able to reach out to these people practically by training their surgeons and physicians, but he has been given an incredible opportunity to share the love of Christ with a group of people who are in desperate need of true love.
Please stand with all of us here at Operation HOPE in praying for safety and effectiveness for all involved in this trip and that lives will be truly changed from the inside out.
